Specific activity investigations

These investigations examine one GP activity at a time. Each connects the practical workflow to applicable DSIC requirements, operational guidance and safety evidence.

GP registration and record transfer

The first investigation concerns a patient changing GP practice and the movement of their record.

Page Use it to
Process and requirements Understand registration, record transfer, clinical review and failure handling.
Unavailable automation Understand missing automatic steps, exceptions, continuing manual work and conformance evidence.
Record-transfer fallback Recover missing or unusable information, select alternative routes and reconcile the record.
Safety review and evidence Examine responsibilities, possible harm and the evidence needed to assess controls.

How to use an investigation

Read the process page first. Confirm the product, contract, service route and adopted standard versions. Then use the safety review to identify evidence questions.

Each page distinguishes explicit requirements, published guidance and original review prompts. A prompt does not create a new national requirement. Missing evidence does not demonstrate non-compliance.

These pages supplement the general review method and interface inventory. They contain no actual workbook findings.

The downloadable offline reference remains version 1.1. This investigation is a wiki supplement and is not included in that combined file.
